Bristol Ariel Rowing Club is open to rowers over the age of 18 of all abilities.



For beginners if your standard of rowing is not up to that of our current Novice squad, then you may need to complete the Learn to Row course before joining.

For experienced rowers we run a series of training sessions throughout the week where access to boats and ergos is available. A training programme is provided to members of all squads. The club currently operates the following squad structure - Novice, Development, Performance, Masters. Coaching is provided to all squads. In addition to the coached sessions there is the opportunity to go out in crew boats or individually to improve fitness/skill.

Next steps

New experienced members are welcome at any time of the year. Before joining the club, we recommend that you come down for a visit and perhaps a trial outing.

If you feel that this code is not being adhered to, your concerns can be discussed informally in the first instance with either the Welfare Officer, squad co-ordinator, squad coach or a senior club member.
